MicroStationDetector

MicroStationDetector is a simple answer to those questions. It's a COM Automation server, meaning that you can reference it from any COM-compatible programming language, including VB and VBA.

It has several methods and properties: for example, start MicroStation using a specified workspace; or determine a file's file type and dimension.
